Simply five years after shooting to fame, Jonathan Antoine, 23, has revealed that he barely keeps in touch with his one-time best friend whilst he focuses on his flourishing solo career.

Speaking on Th's episode of Lorraine, the opera star was joined by swain BGT success stories Jamie Raven and Francine Lewis every bit they detailed their career highs.

Reflecting on his time on the show - which he competed in when he was just 18 - Jonathan explained: 'It'due south been 5 years, it completely blows my mind that it'southward been so long. I was a child when I went on the show.

'I've been able to forge a career, as soon as the evidence ended me and Charlotte were in the studio, I'yard exited for the future.'

Despite starting his journey with best friend Charlotte, the vocaliser admitted that they were no longer as close.

Asked by Lorraine Kelly if they were still pals, he admitted:  'We don't really get to speak very often just that'southward the nature of it.

'You don't really get the time to speak to your friends, my family unit comes everywhere with me and they're my longevity.'

He added: 'My anthology is out and I've got many things in the pipeline. I'm recording some things - let's proceed that on the down low - and I'thousand starting to write some things.'

The pair decided to go their carve up ways in 2014 afterward they were both offered solo record deals by Sony Deals.

Jonathan previously confessed that appearing on BGT 'saved his life'.

'I'd dropped out of sixth grade and my parents wouldn't get out me alone at home as they thought I'd attempt to take my own life. I felt and then low it is almost impossible to draw. It was like I had nothing to live for – information technology was the darkest period of my life.

Jamie added: 'I've never been busier! All the best people came runners up!'
